Prizes were awarded to five Lucy Ducks, including one that had a chance to win $25,000. Unfortunately, the selected duck didn’t have the pre-selected matching number, but Cindy Callaghan won a $500 gift card from Michael Gallagher Jewelers as a fantastic consulation prize!

Our top four winners were:

Paw Print  “Quacker Jack” – Daniel Coleman – $2,500

Paw Print  “Down at Disney” – Alan Emerson – Trip to Disney (courtesy of Linda Cole, Coldwell Banker Preferred, for donating her timeshare for the visit)

Paw Print  “Feed Your Flock” – Sherri Zamichieli – $1,000 gift card from ShopRite

Paw Print  “Flying South” – Deb Capadona – Weekend Stay in private condo in OC, MD (courtesy of Marie and Mark Gillespie)

Paw Print  Our Top Team with the most duck adoptions (1,032), and reigning champion, Hassett’s Hounds, led by our long-time event volunteer, Mary Ellen Hassett and her husband Keith, our Community Relations Coordinator.  Shout-out to our Director of Operations, Debra Radcliff and her team, Deb’s Spartan Splashers for adopting 727 ducks!

Paw Print  Our Top Individual Duck Adopter was Leila Rappaport, who adopted 120 ducks!  Wow!

This event would not have been possible without the support of our Grand Champion Sponsor, WSFS Bank, along with all of the businesses in our Portfolio of Friends. Thank you all!

We are thrilled to have friends for life from Red Robin and Acadia Reality who hosted the event, along with Tri-Supply & Equipment for providing the Duck Truck and Talleyville Fire Company for providing the heroes for man-power to propel the ducks across the pond. Special thanks to our MC, Mike Rossi from 93.7 WSTW and Laurie Williams from Camp Bow Wow, for hosting the dog competition. We also wish to acknowledge Vic Casey and Funtastix for trying to bring a moon bounce, but the rain would’ve made that a safety issue.

Thank you to all the vendors that braved the elements to make the event more fun and exciting!

Kudos to our new Duck Chair, Michael Martin, along with the entire Special Events Team, our staff, volunteers, and numerous groups that helped with all the pre-race organization, duck cleaning and tagging, race-day festivities, and/or post-race cleanup and pack! We cannot thank you all enough!

We appreciate your thoughts for improvement. Please email Greg Munson, gmunson@delawarehumane.org.

Thanks again for making the 4th Annual Rubber Duck Race a fun and successful event!
