Please mark your calendar for our 60th Anniversary Celebration Picnic on Sunday, June 25th from 12 – 4 pm, at our adoption center in Wilmington (701 A Street, DE 19801). We are looking for professional and amateur bakers who want to compete in separate categories for the “Purrfect Cake Design” based on our 60th Anniversary.
The admission, along with the food and drinks are free of charge. We will however be charging $1 per activity for things like a Puppy Kissing Booth, moon bounce jumps, face painting, and various other activities. One other activity will be our Duck Pluck, as this event will also be the kickoff for our 4th Annual Rubber Duck Race, so you can adopt your first set of rubber ducks for a chance to win $25,000.00 (prize money is awarded by an external company and similar to a lottery). For more details of the duck race, see our website, delawareduckrace.com beginning in June.
