The Division of Public Health Office of Animal Welfare recently announced changes to dog licensing for 2017 that will benefit Delaware residents.

License Requirements

Ages 65 and older, who own dogs, will be offered a reduced rate for dogs that were spayed or neutered (discount does not apply to unaltered dogs).  Proof of age is required. The rate is $7 annually, a 30 percent reduction on the regular price of $10 for spayed or neutered dogs. Licenses for unaltered dogs remain $15 per year for all applicants.

Where to Buy

State of Delaware dog licenses are available online and by mail through the PetData website. Licenses can be purchased in person at DHA’s Vaccination Clinics, at our animal care and adoption center in the Riverfront area of Wilmington, and several other locations.
