DECEMBER 3, 2020 UPDATE – Due to Covid-19, our Pet Food Pantry Delivery is currently suspended for the foreseeable future. Please note that if you are unable to find transportation to DHA Wilmington, we are able to send you Rachel Ray coupons to supplement your pet food needs. Please submit our newest Pet Food Pantry Request Form to receive a coupon and be sure to check back for updated information.
DHA’s Pet Food Pantry was created to help members of our community who are having trouble taking care of their pets. Our goal is to help keep pets in their homes and reduce the number of animals surrendered to shelters for financial reasons.
The primary focus of the pantry is collecting food and supplies (e.g. canned and dry food, cat litter) for cats and dogs and distributing them to those in need. We ask that items donated specifically for the pantry be new and unused, and that food containers be unopened.
The pantry is operated on the honor system; recipients are not required to show proof of income to determine eligibility.
