Little update from former Lollygagger, Swift, from 2016 – Adopted during our Labor of Love promo: “We picked up Swift just over two years ago, just wanted to let you know that he is extremely spoiled and happy, and a little goofy.” 😍😍😍
Lukas, happy in his new home with his new buddy and DHA alumni, Charlie!!
Everything is going well! Chucky seems to be enjoying his new home. He already has his favorite spots in the house , he has his own room which he slept in Friday night. Over the weekend he has been sleeping on our bed with us . He loves going out for walks, and watching The Office. We do have our first battle scars from Mr. Grumpy pants (after trying to put on his harness), but immediately after he gave us the i’m sorry look , gave us kisses , and we couldn’t stay mad at him! We are very happy to have him ,and he seems to be loving it so far. We are so glad that we can finally have a dog again, and not really sure who rescued who. We will make sure to update you on his milestones with us. Thank you once again for bringing Chuck into our life.”
Not surprised by the battle scars part, but I’m almost glad they got to see it and know how he sounds and are learning his signals!
After waiting 6 years and 7 months, our Lollygagger BERNICE has been adopted!!!! Her mom saw her featured in our most recent e-blast and since they’d always been a 3 pet household (their current kitty with similar quirks) and the timing was just right with getting back to school, it was all just meant to be! We’d like to thank everyone who has cared for and loved her over the years, but especially her new family for opening their hearts and home to her without a doubt!
That’s us! She’s already settling in well. Got her own space till she’s ready for the other two furbabies to be in her bubble. She’s got her own cat tower for when she wants alone time though so far she just loves rubbing all over me. When she wants my to rub her head, I get kisses on my arm and love bites. Can;t wait to see how our other cat teaches her his tricks of walking on my computer when I’m perusing Facebook or taking up the entire couch, step, or spot on the floor where you were going to step or laying across teh laundry pile as you try to fold it!
Remmi (formerly Dan)
Update from Dan, with my favorite message of all time: “Cant believe it’s almost been 3 months since Remmi (formerly Dan 😂) joined the fam! He has mellowed out SO much in such a short time and has had more adventures in 3 months than many dogs have in a life time. I’m SO happy that we found this little guy and I really encourage anyone who is looking for a dog, to look at a rescue! Remmi was extremely high energy, and had a lot of serious behaviors that had to be worked on. This combination led many people to overlook him. Let me tell you that a dog is so different in a home than they are in a shelter environment. People probably wouldn’t even recognize him now. He is the snuggliest dog I know, and is the best “little spoon” 😂. He also is always down to go running/hiking/adventuring with us, and has even gotten more comfortable in water! He’s great with dogs, great with cats, and great with every kid he has come across! He has such a fun personality and we couldn’t be happier to have Rem in our fam.
Brandy (known as Tia)
Check out who we ran into Brandy (known as Tia at DHA) on the beach. Cliff and Harry say she’s doing well and living the good life! Adopted last October in Rehoboth. They can’t imagine life without her.
